Les sociétés d’assurances du Burkina Faso ont réalisé un chiffre d’affaire de 66 milliards de FCFA en 2016 soit une hausse de 14%. L’information a été donnée par l’Association professionnelle des sociétés d’assurances du Burkina (APSAB).
Les autres performances indiquent des prestations payées de 29 milliards de FCFA, des placements de 127 milliards de FCFA. Ainsi que des taxes et impôts directs de 1,3 milliard de FCFA, au titre de l’année 2016.
Selon Simon Pierre Gouem, président de l’APSAB, ces chiffres témoignent de la vitalité du secteur et de l’importance de sa contribution au secteur économique.
L’APSAB qui célèbre 25 ans d’existence, compte 17 membres dont 8 sociétés d’assurances non Vie, 8 sociétés d’assurances Vie et une société de réassurance.
