Le Benin a levé hier, jeudi 03 Février 2022, un emprunt de 77 milliards de FCFA sur le marché monétaire de l’Union Monétaire Ouest Africaine (UMOA). A l’issue d’une double émission assimilables du trésor(OAT) de 7 Ans et 10 ans adossée à des taux d’intérêt fixe respectifs de 5,20% et 5,30%.
Cette opération est la première du pays pour cette année 2022, qui a mobilisé près d’une vingtaine d’investisseurs. Montrant leur engouement pour les titres publics du Bénin, ces derniers ont proposé plus de 2 fois les 70 milliards FCFA initialement sollicités soit 198,5 milliards FCFA.
L’opération a été majoritairement souscrites par les investisseurs du Bénin qui ont représenté 30,5 des soumissions totales. La Côte d’Ivoire a représenté 29,9% et le Togo 12,74% des offres.
Au terme des soumissions, le Bénin a retenu 36 Milliards FCFA via la maturité de 7 ans à un rendement moyen pondéré de 5%. Quant à la maturité de 1 an, elle a permis de lever 41 millions FCFA à un rendement moyen pondéré.
