Le gouvernement Ghanéen va mettre en place un fond spécial de près de 4,4 millions $ soit 20 millions de cédis pour le financement de start-ups . Cette initiative s’inscrit dans le cadre de sa promotion de l’entrepreneuriat.
Ce fond devrait être mobilisé d’ici mars 2018. Les critères de sélections prendront en compte le secteur d’activité,les technologies utilisées, l’organisation interne . Ainsi que la capacité de ces start- ups à créer de l’emploi et des impacts sociaux .
Le Ghana n’est pas à sa première expérience. Pour rappel, le gouvernement ghanéen avait débloqué 10 millions $ dans le cadre du Plan national d’innovation et d’entrepreneuriat (NEIP).
En outre , son budget 2017 prévoyait de faire du pays « une nation d’entrepreneurs », produisant des biens et services pour le développement du pays.
