Selon African Markets, Energy Commercial Bank vise une levée de fonds de plus de 60 millions de dollars sur la Bourse d’Accra. Ainsi, elle compte transférer plus de 50% de ses actions à des investisseurs institutionnels et individuels ghanéens. Il s’agit pour l’institution, de se conformer au nouveau seuil de capital minimum défini par la Banque centrale Ghanéenne.
Le prospectus d’introduction en bourse de la banque est actuellement en cours d’approbation par la Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Ghanéenne. Selon des sources nommées par African Markets.
Pour rappel, l’introduction en bourse de Energy Commercial Bank , répond aux exigences données par Bank of Ghana (BoG) en fin 2017. En effet, la banque avait donné un délai d’un an aux banques commerciales actives dans le pays pour porter leur capital de 120 millions à 400 millions de cedis (environ 84 millions de dollars).
