La Caisse nationale de prévoyance sociale (Cnps) de Côte d’Ivoire envisage de racheter une partie des actions de l’assureur français Axa au sein de la plateforme industrielle Eranove qui détient des actifs dans les secteurs de l’eau et de l’électricité en Côte d’Ivoire, a-t-on appris de sources médiatiques.
Le fonds de pension des travailleurs du secteur privé ivoirien est actionnaire d’Eranove depuis 2017, et dispose d’une part minoritaire dans le capital de ce groupe qui a pour premier actionnaire Emerging Capital Partners.
La Cnps espère se renforcer dans le capital du groupe. Axa qui envisage de se retirer de son capital y était entré en 2015 via sa filiale spécialisée dans les secteurs de l’immobilier et des infrastructures (Axa Real Estate).
L’opération avait consisté en un rachat des 18,6 % de parts que détenait le groupe Bouygues au sein d’Eranove. Dans le cadre de ce projet de cession, des discussions ont été entamées entre Axa et la Cnps dirigée par Denis Charles Kouassi.
La Cnps souhaite acquérir entre 7 et 8 % des actions de la compagnie d’assurance. Si la transaction aboutissait, elle entraînerait une réorganisation dans l’actionnariat du groupe de distribution de l’eau et de l’électricité en Afrique de l’Ouest.
