Equity Bank Rwanda a annoncé mercredi 30 décembre 2020, sa nouvelle identité de marque. La banque sera désormais appelée « Equity Rwanda », filiale d’ Equity Group Holdings basé à Nairobi (Kebya).
Le nouveau look sera présent dans tous les points de vente physiques et plates-formes bancaires numériques, entre autres sur les sites web. Cette initiative entre dans le cadre de la nouvelle stratégie de transformation de la banque.
Dans son communiqué, l’établissement bancaire a également indiqué qu’il diversifiera son offre avec des produits d’assurances.
Pour le PDG d’Equity Group Holdings Plc, James Mwangi, ce changement de l’environnement opérationnel va permettre au groupe d’évoluer dans le temps. Le directeur du conseil d’administration, Patrick Uwizeye, quant a lui, soutient qu’Equity utilisera son vaste réseau d’agences pour accroître l’accès aux services d’assurance dans tout le pays.
Le total bilan d’Equity bank a avoisiné récemment les 1000 milliards de shillings (9,2 milliards USD), devenant ainsi la première banque d’Afrique orientale et centrale à franchir cette barre.
