Le Bitcoin, l’Ethereum et le XRP combinés atteignent une capitalisation de 511,5 milliards de dollars, en hausse de 235% sur une année glissante.
Sur les trois derniers mois, la progression a été de 80%, portant la valorisation à 521,5 milliards de dollars. Le bitcoin s’est accru de 224 % depuis le début de l’année. Après être retombé à 88,96 milliards de dollars en mars, la plus célèbre des crypto monnaies est remontée à 168 milliards de dollars en juin. Sur la seconde partie de l’année, ce chiffre a explosé de 150% pour atteindre 419 milliards de dollars.
Encore plus spectaculaire, l’Ethereum a vu sa capitalisation boursière bondir de 387% en 2020, passant de 14,2 milliards de dollars en janvier à 68, 8milliards de dollars cette semaine. Pour sa part, la XRP a gagné 152%, passant de 9,4 milliards de dollars en décembre 2019 à 237,7 milliards de dollars cette semaine.
La Covid-19 n’a pas pu freiner l’appétit des investisseurs pour les monnaies issues du blockchain. Selon Finaria.it, ces trois monnaies affichent une croissance à trois chiffres le 15 mars 2020, quand leur capitalisation était descendue à 108,1 milliards de dollars. A la fin du second trimestre, les crypto monnaies reines ont vu leur capitalisation croître de 30% à 201,5 milliards de dollars, puis à 284,7 milliards de dollars en septembre.
