La banque sud-africaine, African Bank a annoncé ce lundi 25 janvier 2021 que sa directrice générale, Basani Maluleke, a démissionné du groupe pour poursuivre d’autres opportunités de carrière. Elle a noté que le PDG sortant a contribué de manière significative au développement de la structure au cours des dernières années.
« Je suis extrêmement fière de ce que nous avons accompli au cours des trois dernières années et reconnaissante du dévouement et du travail acharné de notre personnel. Ce fut un honneur de servir en tant que PDG d’African Bank pendant une phase importante de la transformation de l’organisation », affirme Maluleke.
L’établissement bancaire a fait savoir que le conseil d’administration a nommé, sous réserve de l’approbation de l’Autorité prudentielle, Gustav Raubenheimer comme PDG par intérim.
Il est actuellement le directeur financier de la Banque, par ailleurs membre du conseil d’administration. Par ailleurs, souligne la Banque, Basani Maluleke purgera sa période de préavis jusqu’au 30 avril 2021, période pendant laquelle elle sera disponible pour assurer un processus de transfert en douceur.
Le conseil devrait entamer le processus de recherche de cadres pour un nouveau directeur général. Cette démarche se fera avant la présentation de ses résultats financiers annuels pour l’exercice clos en septembre 2020, prévue ce mardi 26 janvier.
