3A-IARD est devenu SONAM Assurances. Deux ans après avoir pris le contrôle de l’Alliance Africaine d’Assurance Vie (3A-Vie), l’assureur sénégalais SONAM opère le rebranding de sa filiale ivoirienne. Soro Jean, le directeur général de la nouvelle filiale, a officialisé l’information ce mercredi 20 septembre face à la presse.
Selon Soro Jean, « cette reprise a bien profité à la compagnie qui a enregistré une progression de 67% de son chiffre d’affaires fin 2016, une tendance qui devrait se poursuivre encore cette année, entre 20 et 25%. Ce qui est au dessus de la moyenne générale ».
« Ce changement de dénomination est l’aboutissement d’un grand projet de restructuration entrepris par 3A dès 2013. Cela en vue de donner un nouveau souffle à la compagnie, pour affronter les grands défis nés de l’évolution du secteur des assurances dans le monde et particulièrement en Côte d’Ivoire, » a indiqué le directeur général.
Par ailleurs, Soro Jean a tenu à rassurer les souscripteurs sur la « préservation non seulement de leurs acquis, mais également leur renforcement ». L’entrée dans le capital de 3A du groupe Sonam, a permis de doter la compagnie de nouvelles capacités techniques et de moyens d’action accrus.
Pour rappel, le groupe SONAM a acquis 51% du capital de 3A-IARD alors que cette dernière était placée (en mai 2015) sous surveillance par la Commission régionale de contrôle des assurances (CRCA), le gendarme de la zone CIMA.
Avec 5 compagnies sur le marché des assurances au Sénégal, le groupe SONAM revendique un chiffre d’affaires de 21,5 milliards FCFA en 2016
