La Banque Africaine de Développement (BAD) octroie un prêt d’environ 63 millions d’euro, soit 41,3 milliards FCFA, pour augmenter la production des principaux produits agricoles notamment le riz, le mais, le sorgho, le mil, le soja, la pomme de terre, l’huile de palme et les cultures maraîchères .
Cet prêt va aider à l’acquisition en urgence des intrants nécessaires à la campagne en cours et la prochaine.
Ce sont 1720 tonnes de semences de riz, 2500 tonnes de mais, 130 tonnes de sorgho, 2400 tonnes de pommes de terre, 1, 12 millions de graines prégermés de palmier à huile, 132 tonnes de soja, 4 tonnes de semences maraîchères et 67 tonnes de semences de blé qui seront distribuées au producteurs.
Les productions attendues de ses semences sont entre autres, 221 449 tonnes de maïs, 172 000 tonnes de riz, 9 750 tonnes de sorgho, 24 000 tonnes de pommes de terre, 45 000 tonnes d’huile de palme, 4000 tonnes de soja, 120 000 tonnes de cultures maraichères.
Des engrais NPK (azote, phosphore, potassium) et urée subventionnés à hauteur de 30% seront alloués aux petits producteurs notamment des femmes productrices.
